Scattering of light

Scattering of light The process of radiating light by atoms and molecules in all directions is known as scattering of light. when sun light enters in the atmosphere of the earth then this light is absorbed by the small atoms and molecules of the gases present in the earths atmosphere. These atoms and molecules remit light in all directions. The atoms or molecules or other substances which scatter light is know as scatters. Scatting of light depends upon the size of the scatters in atmosphere. According to ray light intensity of scatter light is inversely proportional to the fourth power of the wavelength of incident light, provided the size of particles scattering light is very very small as compared to wave length of incident light. i,e. intensity of scattering light:                                   ...
