Do you know Batamaloo International airport (Chandmari - Totto Ground) happens to be first airport of Jammu & kashmir, were as , first Indian aviation (Mumbai) Airport was founded three years later in 1928

1) Here is the Photograph of the first ever plane that landed in Kashmir at Tattoo Ground ( Chandmari, Batmaloo) Srinagar on 15 may ,1925 to provide a demonstration for the people of Kashmir.
2) ( Note our learned archievist Showket Rashid Wani has wrongly attributed year of landing as 1922 - but According state archieves
Roznama tareekh e kashmir ,Mufti M saadat ,page 620 - it was year 1925)
3) According to folklore recorded by DrAshraf Kashmiri Villagers flocked around the ground to have first glance at "Flying jinn", since kashmiris are known for their hospitality,they bought " Grass" and " Bones " for flying jinn( air craft ) ,presuming aircraft may need energy ,they did same thing when Bi-cycle arrived in kashmir for first time .

4) Tara Chand Wazir ,Grand father of Rekha Wazir was the first Kashmiri to fly in an aeroplane.
5) Social media started singing tracks ( ladi- shah & Baand were wandering singers ) on Tara chand wazirs daring ride in an aeroplane!
